In a rebellious and typically rock ‘n’ roll move; band AC/DC
are steadfastly refusing to allow any of their tracks to be digitally
downloaded.
The group stand to lose millions of dollars by not allowing
people to download tracks through iTunes or other online music stores.
Angus Young has refused to allow the digital distribution of
their music as he believes the tracks should be listened too in the context of
the entire album.
"I know The Beatles have changed but we're going to
carry on like that. For us it's the best way. We are a band who started off
with albums and that's how we've always been. Usually the best tracks were on
the albums" he said.

A police officer sparked controversy
when he was caught using pepper spray on an innocent baby squirrel.
A chilling YouTube video
shows the officer spraying the animal after it began chasing students at Kimbrough
Middle School in Mesquite, Texas.
A student managed to
capture Wednesday’s incident on his mobile phone.
Fellow students can be
heard pleading with the officer to not spray the defenceless animal. The
Mesquite Police Department has defended the officer’s actions, according to
Sergeant Wes Talley the officer feared the squirrel may have been rabid.
Sergeant Talley explained
that the officer only had the student’s welfare at heart. The squirrel is no
running free in the wild after it was cared for by animal control officers.

A group of scientists
have genetically modified cattle so that they are capable of producing human
breast milk.
The scientists managed to
implant human genes into 300 cows, when the milk was tested it was show to have
the same properties as human breast milk. Human breast milk contains special
nutrients and that help boost the immune system of babies.
The scientists hope that
the modified cow’s milk could act as a substitute for breast milk instead of
formula. Not only would the milk have nutritional benefits but also would taste
the same as regular cow’s milk, talk about a win win situation.
The researchers explained
that the milk contained two important enzymes found in human milk Iysozyme and
Lactoferrin. Both enzymes are used to fight of infections and boost the immune
system.
Professor Ning Li who led
the research team said this work had shown it was possible to humanise cow’s
milk.

A clinically obese man
from Ohio was taken into hospital recently after he became fused to a chair that
he not moved out of for two years. Police were forced to cut a hole in the wall
of his house to remove him.
The gentleman chose to
remain anonymous lived with two perfectly healthy flatmates including his
girlfriend. According to friends they continued to feed him because he refused
to get up from his chair. His flatmates were forced to intervene and call
Police when they found him unresponsive on Monday.
Officers who attended the
scene found that the man’s skin has been with fused with the fabric on the
chair. He was apparently sitting in his own faeces and maggots were clearly visible.
One officer was forced to throw away his clothing after helping the man from
his chair.
The landlord has been
told to clean up the premises. According to his landlord the man used to be
incredibly active and was unaware of the man’s condition since he covered
himself with a blanket every time she visited.

A marathon runner from Illinois ran a personal best
at the Los Angeles Marathon after living on a diet of McDonalds, water and a
daily multivitamin tablet.
Joe D’Amico completed the Marathon in two hours, 36
minutes and 13 seconds finishing 29th overall, Joe beat his previous
personal record by 41 seconds. In the build up to the race Joe ate 99 meals at
McDonalds.
On an average day Joe would eat hotcakes and an egg
McMuffin for breakfast, a grilled chicken burger and a large coke for lunch and
finish his day with a hamburger and fries for dinner. The Illinois runner insists he was not making
a point but just simply loves running and McDonalds.
It was all for a worthy cause as Joe raised $27,000
dollars for the Ronald McDonald House Charity and now has more than 20,000
people, you can read about Joe and his challenge at his blog cleverly named McRunner.

Two Northern Territory fishermen were feeling mightily
relieved following a very close shave with a 4 metre crocodile, last Sunday
week.
The saltie punctured the fishermen’s boat with its teeth and
the vessel started taking on water.
Cain Pell and his dad Graeme first felt the croc when the
boat suddenly moved as its tooth went through the hull. Only Cain’s dad saw the
crocodile, which was longer than the tinnie they were sitting in.
The men pulled onto a mud bank and found the hole, repairing
it with a bandage from the first aid kit. Cain said "Standing on the bank
was very scary. We were in the croc's element."
Luckily the croc did not make a further appearance and the
men wisely made a swift exit from the river by way of the Adelaide River
Bridge.

Cain and his dad were happy to see the back of the crocodile

Luxury car maker Ferrari is planning to start selling its
super expensive sports cars in the booming economy of India, according to the The Australian website.
India has the third largest economy in Asia and 55
billionaires and counting.
The car maker will be selling four models: the California, 458
Italia, 599 GTB Fiorano and FF.
The basic model will start at 23 million rupees
or $500,000.
Import duty on cars in India is a whopping 100%, making non
domestic vehicles an expensive taste.
Ferrari still believes that there is
enough interest from the country’s wealth to make it worth their while selling
their products there.
Ferrari sold 6573 cars worldwide last year, with China the company’s
fastest growing customer base.
A Ferrari might be a childhood fantasy for most of us, but

Fighting crime has

recruiting a side kick in his quest for justice.
Captain Australia is
the caped crusader in question "I
am definitely interested in bonding together with a sidekick, or other like-minded
individuals interested in forming a team,'' explained the Brisbane superhero.
According to the crime
fighter there have been dozens of responses to the crime fighters recruitment
campaign. The crime fighter has received huge public backing.
Captain Australia will
hold auditions for the role, each candidate will face a series of grueling challenges
to test their suitability. The series of challenges include weight sessions and
pre dawn running. A Captain Australia
appreciation night has been planned for Wednesday 16th March at a
Fortitude Valley Nightspot.

If your thoughts have ever turned to arrangements for your

Well now there is another method that offers you a different
way to go if none of the more conventional methods appeal.
A Swedish company, Promessa, offers the recently deceased
the option of freezing their bodies, to then be shattered in a similar fashion
to Robert Patrick’s T1000 in the Terminator 2 movie.
The body is placed in liquid Nitrogen and frozen down to
-18C until it becomes brittle. Vibrations then shatter the body, resulting in a
fine powder.
Water, mercury and other elements are then extracted and the
rest of the powder is buried in a shallow grave to turn into compost in around
6 – 12 months.

A Bavarian brewery claims its non alcohol beer is the latest sports drink
for athletes but I wouldn’t quite swap it for your Gatorade just yet.
The brewery has starting handing out the frosty brew at the finish line
of sporting events plugging the drinks regenerative benefits.
The beer is called Erdinger Alkoholfrei and is served with a frothy head,
I don’t know what this would be like from a sports bottle and not a stein.
According to the Bavarian beer company the beverage is isotonic and vitamin
rich.
The drink was first handed out at the World Cup Biathlons in Maine this
month. “It’s a very healthy product” claims the brewery’s US manager Glenn
McDonald.
Apparently Erdinger Alkoholfrei is the number one alcohol free beer in
Germany but we’re doubtful it will be the number one sports drink.
